Slowly and Gently remove your bandage. You can run water on the bandage to help loosen the adhesive.
Using Unscented Ivory Bar Soap, lather in the palm of your hand and using circular motions on the tattoo, wash and rinse the tattoo a few times.
While your tattoo and hand are still wet, pay attention to the way your tattooed skin feels. If it feels slick or slimy, it wasn’t washed or rinsed well enough. Repeat Step 2. If the tattoo feels the same as the rest of your skin while it is wet, then you can move on to the next step.
Allow the tattoo time to air dry naturally for at least 5-10 minutes. DO NOT use a towel to dry the tattoo as you will contaminate it.
After the bandage is removed...
Apply a small amount of “Body Art Aftercare” 1-2 times daily as needed for the next 1-2 weeks.
Be sure not to apply too much during each application as your tattoo needs to be able to Breathe in order to Heal. The tattooed skin just needs to be a little “tacky”.
Your tattoo is going to “flake” the same as a sunburn. Do not pick or scratch at it. Allow the skin to flake off naturally in its own time.
